They’re even able to conjure up various items and perform resurrections on fallen players by expending soul shards. They are able to heal themselves via life tap and drain life, and also have several crowd control spells (CC’s) like fear and howl of terror. Since warlocks are able to acquire mounts through quests, they save lots of gold that most other characters have to spend.

Affliction talents are designed to bolster a warlock’s DoT’s, drains, and curses. When farming or raiding, this is an excellent spec to take. It is arguably the best specialization for speed leveling.

The Demonology talent tree is focused on creating more powerful demons and improving your summoning and conjuration spells. For player versus player, this is a really good talent tree. For leveling up, it’s almost as good as Affliction. You’ll be extremely reliant on your demons with this spec.

Destruction talents focus on improving most shadow and fire spells thereby making the warlock a powerful direct damage dealer. With Destruction, it is all about high DPS and massive criticals. This spec isn’t as useful as the other specs at the early levels. Note that Destruction isn’t so great for soloing. Also, it suffers from poor mana efficiency and comes with a heavy dependency on soul shards. However, its very cool watching health bars drop to nothing at lightning speed.
