The importance of earning gold in WoW is something that isn’t lost on the creator of a product called Warcraft Millionaire. To tell the truth Johnson doesn’t want to simply earn as much as he can, he apparently want everything. Having played such games as WoW and Lineage 2 for a period of 8 years, he’s acquired huge experience and his amibition is to be the very first player in Warcraft history to earn the amazing amount of 1,000,000 (one million!) gold. How amazing would that be?
Don’t worry if you’re thinking that Lineage 2 has no bearing on how to play World of Warcraft. What these games have in common, and therefore is relevant, is how players acquire. This was not lost on Johnson. He therefore set about putting everything he had mastered about these games, to enable him to earn the maximum quantity of gold for as many characters as possible, and created Warcraft Millionaire Guide.
I mentioned earlier that Johnson’s primary purpose was to reach the level of 1,000,000 gold earned. At the time of writing this I understand he is a litte over 800,000 for all his characters. I can’t even begin to imagine the kind of annoying and unwelcome attention that must have created.
Maybe it’s just me, but with that kind of know how, I’d have steered clear of too much publicity. People are different and instead of laying low, like I would, Brad Johnson came clean about what he was doing and was more than happy to speak with anyone about it. I bet they came out of the woodwork. Because of the amount of people that did indeed seek Johnson out for help and advice, it understandably cut into his available time to play the game and in turn, the reason he played the game at all, having fun, dramatically dropped. The answer was to develop the Warcraft Millionaire Guide.
Warcraft Millionaire takes what is taught in other Gold guides and elaborates on it. As far as Johnson was concerned, his research confirmed to him that the current gold guides all had a common flaw. He noticed that all the guides simply used the same old information and didn’t really differ from each other. It was an easy decision for Johnson to therefore simply make his guide better. For example, not happy with talking about how to earn gold through the Auction House, Johnson actually goes into detail about how the place works. Essential information like exactly what you should be selling and buying, how much you should pay and earn and even what time to buy and sell. All fundamental.
I was, I have to admit, a little cautious of all the hype and thought that it was going to repeat the same old stuff. I will hold my hand up here and admit I got ahead of myself, Warcraft Millionaire was different. I learned a lot more about the economics of WoW and how you can apply the laws of economics from the real world into your play. OK, I know you’re probably thinking that sounds really boring, but hang on in there. It isn’t and you will reap big dividends.
No this isn’t some get rich overnight rubbish, just plug it in, sit back and have a beer. You have to actually do some work here. Put into practice what you learn from Warcraft Millionaire. You are shown exactly how Johnson managed to earn all the gold he has but he lays it on the line, put his methods into practice. Admit it, you wouldn’t actually enjoy it if you didn’t have to lift a finger, would you? What would be the point if it was like that?

Not only that, there’s a guide on how to successfully grind for your gold and there are gold guides for all levels, from Level 1 up to 80. It is also written with all character classes in mind.
