People don’t always choose the Paladin class when they are beginning with a new character. This is mainly because the Paladin is a hybrid, which some people don’t like. Also there’s not a lot to do in the lower levels for a Paladin.
There aren’t a lot of rewards to be gotten and you just keeping leveling up. Also, a Paladin character is not an expert at any one thing when the character is first created. You have to decide where you want to build up its expertise.
But the Paladin also has some advantages. For example, your character can be molded to take on various roles, which gives you flexibility. Not to mention, for grinding the Paladin is the best.
{By the way|Incidentally|Note}: here’s a really great site of World of Warcraft strategy guides including a WoW hunter guide.
Here are some tips to help you make the most of your Paladin.
There are three builds that you can decide from. There are different skills for each, and you and select according to what you want.
The three builds are Holy, Protection, Retribution.
*Holy is great if you want to make a healer out of your Paladin.
*Protection is apt for tanking or grinding.
*Retribution is very good for increasing your level super fast if you are starting at a lower level.
By far, the best build to start out with is Retribution because when you’re starting out, your main goal is leveling. Before you can have this build, you have to be at least at level 10. Once you reach this, the talent tree becomes available. This is where you need to be judicious in speccing. You’ll want to Distribute your specs more in in Retribution, but be sure to also leave some specs for Holy and Protection because you will also need these builds down the line.
You can distribute specs in many different ways but one of the best ways is as follows—Give 5 points for Spiritual Focus in the Holy Build, 5 points for Improved Devotion Aura in the Protection Build and 5 points each for Improved Blessing of Might, Improved Seal of Crusader, and Seal of Command in the Retribution Build.
This is a good distribution that allows you to have the best of all the three builds.
The Paladin class is a hybrid. So it is best to allow them to work in the manner that they are, i.e. hybrids. Being a hybrid is their biggest strength because they can do a little of most things. You can work on specialization later. Keep in mind that you will get certain quests to accomplish just because you are a Paladin hybrid. If you tamper with this basic characteristic of this class, accomplishing those tasks will become more difficult.
Speaking about the trade for the Paladin, the best one to choose is that of a blacksmith. Since Paladins are going to require a lot of weapons, learning this profession could very well come in handy. The second best profession is engineer, because then they become skilful in repairing weapons and tools for a Paladin.
